ATLEU seeks a solicitor or barrister with experience of immigration and asylum law to advise and represent victims of trafficking. The ideal candidate will be accredited under the SRA’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme at Supervisor level and will have a minimum of two years’ experience working under a Legal Aid contract.

ATLEU is a legal charity with a national reputation for representing victims of trafficking, modern-day slavery and labour exploitation. ATLEU adopts a strategic approach to litigation, identifying test cases to enhance protections for victims. ATLEU provides a dedicated and comprehensive service representing victims in immigration, asylum, housing, community care, employment and compensation claims against the state and traffickers. ATLEU aims to help victims access justice, obtain safety, recovery and redress.

ATLEU is sought after to deliver training to victim support agencies and to other practitioners. It is frequently asked to contribute to campaigns on matters affecting victims’ rights. In 2015 ATLEU will be launching a boutique law firm serving an ethical fee-paying client base. All profits from this work will be reinvested in ATLEU.
