New immigration bail training course out now

There are over 100 hours worth of immigration law training courses on Free Movement now, all accessible to paid members. The latest addition to the menu covers immigration bail.

The core modules cover the practicalities of making a bail application to the Home Office or immigration tribunal, but we also touch on things like applications from prison, legal aid and the underlying legal framework.

The course was written by Jennifer Blair of No5 Chambers and Larry Lock of Bail for Immigration Detainees, and edited by myself and CJ. We’ve also included a podcast interview with Pierre Makhlouf, also from BID.

Non-members can take a look at the course contents and ponder what they’re missing here.

We’ve also been working on updating our existing training materials. Our advanced course on Zambrano case law and applications has now been revised for 2019, with thanks to the tireless Nath Gbikpi of Wesley Gryk Solicitors.

Finally, just to note that updated editions of our EU settled status and naturalisation as a British citizen handbooks are also available. Paid members get these for free.
