The end of the continuing professional development year looms (for solicitors in England and Wales at any rate; other professions and jurisdictions are available). Here on Free Movement we have a massive selection of training courses and other online materials that can be used to satisfy CPD requirements and there are some brand new ones available.

At the advanced end of the spectrum, there’s a course on immigration and nationality law issues in international surrogacy. Written by Karma Hickman of Bishop & Sewell, it contains dozens of case studies and worked examples and is suitable for experienced practitioners seeking to gain detailed knowledge about this topic.

We’ve also got some more introductory level courses suitable for new practitioners or those not familiar with the topic in question. On the business immigration side, Joanna Hunt of Lewis Silkin has put together an introduction to preparing a Tier 2 (General) application, as well as a look at advising employers on immigration law.

The fourth new course is on best practice in immigration case working, put together by Amie Higgins of the Anti-Trafficking and Labour Exploitation Unit.
