Refugee Legal Support: Athens, a group of British immigration lawyers that runs a pro bono legal clinic for refugees in Greece, is looking to hire a local lawyer to help with the project. The position is a temporary, three-month stint based in Athens beginning as soon as possible, with the following responsibilities:

  • Legal Counselling and representation to the courts for Refugee Legal Support Athens beneficiaries
  • Maintain records of all activities
  • Day to day supervision and oversight of the volunteer lawyers and clinic caseload
  • Allocate and supervising casework tasks undertaken by volunteer UK lawyers
  • Work closely with Program Coordinator and Interpreters in quality assurance of caseload
  • Feeding into volunteer lawyer training delivered in the UK
  • Represent Solidarity Now and Refugee Legal Support in Greek refugee law networks
  • Evaluation of the pilot program
